Terms of Service

The short version
- Prices include GST. $19 and $29 per month in Australian dollars are what you pay — there's nothing added at checkout.
- Cancel any time, and you keep what you've paid for. Access continues to the end of the billing period you've already paid, then the account moves to the free Demo plan. We don't give partial refunds for unused days.
- A failed payment doesn't cut you off immediately. We keep your plan active while the payment is retried over about three weeks, and we email you each time.
- AI-generated questions need your review. They're a drafting aid, not a finished assessment, and they can be wrong.
- There's a nightly maintenance window. The service is normally unavailable between about 11:40pm and 8:30am Sydney time.
- Your Australian consumer rights still apply. Nothing here takes them away.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and QuizMySkill for your use of the QuizMySkill website and service. By creating an account, joining a quiz, or paying for a plan, you accept them. If you're agreeing on behalf of a school, employer or other organisation, you confirm you're authorised to do so.
2. Accounts
You need an account to create and host quizzes. You don't need one to join a quiz as a participant.
- Give accurate information, and keep your email address current — it's how we send receipts, password resets and payment notices.
- You must verify your email address before you can sign in. This applies whether or not you've paid; paying doesn't skip verification, because a payment proves you control a card, not an inbox.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Accounts are for a person, not a shared credential. We may suspend an account that appears to be shared across an organisation in place of buying seats.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. The amount shown is the amount charged.
Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. Payment is processed by Stripe; we don't receive or store your card details. Each plan has usage limits, which are shown in the product and which we may change with reasonable notice.
We may change prices. If we do, we'll give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email before the change applies to them, and you're free to cancel before it takes effect.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account's billing page, without contacting us.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you've already paid for. You keep your plan's features until that date, and then the account moves to the free Demo plan. Your quizzes stay in your account.
We don't provide partial refunds for the unused part of a period. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 10).
5. If a payment fails
A failed renewal is usually an expired card rather than a decision to stop, so we don't cut access off at the first failure. Instead:
- Your plan stays active while the payment is retried automatically, over roughly three weeks.
- We email you each time an attempt fails, with a link to update your card.
- If payment still hasn't succeeded when the retries are exhausted, the account moves to the free Demo plan. You can resubscribe at any time.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use QuizMySkill to:
- Upload or distribute unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit material, or anything that exploits or endangers children.
- Infringe someone else's copyright or other rights — including feeding material you don't have the right to use into the AI question generator.
- Attempt to access accounts, sessions or data that aren't yours, including guessing session PINs.
- Probe, scan, overload or interfere with the service, or circumvent plan limits, rate limits or security controls.
- Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
- Collect personal information from quiz participants beyond what the product asks for.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is serious — particularly anything involving children's safety — we may do so immediately and without notice.
7. Your content and ours
You keep ownership of the quizzes, questions and materials you create or upload. You give us the limited licence needed to host, process and display them in order to run the service for you — nothing more. We don't use your content to train AI models.
You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload, and for whether your content is accurate or appropriate for your audience.
QuizMySkill's own software, design, branding and any shared library content remain ours. These terms don't give you rights to them beyond using the service.
8. AI-generated questions
Senior plans can generate draft questions from material you supply. Please treat this realistically:
- Generated questions are drafts and must be reviewed before use. They can be factually wrong, ambiguous, or mark the wrong answer as correct.
- We don't warrant that generated content is accurate, complete, original, or suitable for assessment, certification or any decision affecting a person.
- You remain responsible for anything you publish or assess people against, including content the AI drafted.
- There are usage limits on generation, and we may change them.
9. Availability and maintenance
We aim to keep QuizMySkill available and working, but we don't promise uninterrupted service.
We may also take the service down at short notice for urgent fixes or security work, and we may change, add or remove features over time.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees.
Where we're permitted to limit our liability, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, except where the law doesn't permit that limitation.
Beyond the non-excludable guarantees, the service is provided "as is". We don't warrant that it will be error-free, or that it will meet a particular requirement.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if payment can't be collected, or if we're required to by law.
If we terminate your account other than for a breach by you, we'll refund any unused portion of a period you've paid for.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that materially affect your rights or what you pay, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
